Azavar™ Technologies pioneered the integration of front-end Web applications with HP UNIX BPCS ERP systems with Bisco Dental International.
Bisco has been a trusted name in manufacturing and distributing dental products for more than twenty years. With a trusted "brick and mortar" manufacturing and distribution foundation, moving one's ordering process online can be a daunting and often apprehensive process. Azavar assured Bisco that an online ordering option would not only generate additional revenue for the company but also create a channel of communication between its existing Web presence and ERP system. The goal was two fold: alleviate costs involved with the re-development of Bisco's existing website and investment in its current ERP system, and develop and integrate an eCommerce catalog into its exisiting systems.
Previously, Bisco had been using BPCS to operate its ERP system. SSA, developers of BPCS, marketed the product as an automated production and distribution system with client server applications. BPCS ERP had no Web-based application but was used by millions worldwide. With the Bisco project, Azavar created a multi-tier Web-based application that enables B2B and B2C integration of BPCS ERP systems.
For this innovative solution, SSA has recognized Azavar for its successful integration of front-end Web applications with BPCS ERP systems.
